Doodle Tuesday! It’s not easy getting everyone in the picture!

Since everyone’s sick of talking about COVID, let’s talk about something different: Bordetella Unfortunately the fall is prime time for Bordetella (also known as kennel or canine cough). If your dog is showing any signs of coughing they must stay home for 2 weeks or until symptoms are gone, whichever is longer. Typically, cases resolve in 7-14 days on their own but more severe cases may require a vet visit. Canine cough is tricky because it’s incubation period is 10-14 day...s, which means a dog can be contagious without showing any symptoms. Here at Barkers we take all precautions possible to limit the spread of Canine Cough, including the installation of our Sanuvox UV Air Sanitization system and requiring all dogs be vaccinated. However, the dogs aren’t great at wearing masks or keeping their physical distance, and we have, however, seen some cases this week. Please do your part by keeping your dog home if they are showing any symptoms. Feel free to call us or your vet if you would like more information. Stay safe everyone!

Our Puppy Good Start program wrapped up today and we’re super proud of them all! The humans put in a lot of effort over last month and the puppies have learned so much!
