By now, most of us have figured out if our job or career is "essential" or not. Unfortunately, my chosen profession is not. We are learning quickly that some of the jobs we have created for ourselves over the decades, have come back to bite us in the butt! As a proud dog groomer for the past 25 years, this is my new reality. If you look into how many of our most popular breeds are "created", you may be surprised by what you learn! The pics I've posted are pretty much w...hat our dogs would still look like today, if humans didn't interfere. Don't get me wrong, I adore our hypoallergenic fluffy little friends! My man-made shih tzu is a valuable member of my family My heart goes out to anyone who has a dog in need of professional grooming. Many years ago, our government realized that private groomers were profiting by teaching their apprentice the "tricks of the trade", therefore, the official notice was sent out for groomers to "cease and desist immediately", and slapped a "licensed trade" label on it; now the government profits... but , if anyone is interested in tips or advice on grooming your own dog, please call me, I'll do my best to walk you through it! BARKING BEAUTIES GROOMING STUDIO Is coming home to Bourget October 1st, 2019 After 25 years in the grooming industry, with my sometimes painful "seasoned" arms, I am having a hard time keeping up with the demand at my busy little shop in Rockland.... Moving back home will allow me the opportunity to offer a personalized experience for each one of my dog clients/friends; One dog at a time! A concept that is new to me, but refreshing. My grooming studio will be in my main floor living room; separate from my pets and rescued cats. I have a few minor renovations to prepare my home for business again, and look forward to sharing updates and pics as I go along. My "hobby" is cat rescue. I refer to it as a hobby simply because it's my choice to save abandoned, sick or injured house pets, not a mandatory requirement. It's a rewarding hobby though; the best one I've taken up! I guarantee NO fleas in my home; and require that every dog friend MUST be flea free! I enjoy taking pics of my rescued kitties, and am super happy to have additional time to spend taking before and after pics of my dog guests as well. The average grooming session will be between 1 to 1.5 hours; and with so much to do in "downtown" Bourget (at the 4 way stop), Bella will be ready before you head home! We have 2 fine dining establishments, a friendly convenient store, a grocery store, LCBO, and Home Hardware. Penny Lane Farm Sanctuary is nearby, possibly Bella could schedule a spa treatment during one of their open house events! I've begun "spreading the word", and I'm so grateful for the love and continued support. So many of you have been wonderfully loyal throughout many years, and several locations; I thank you. I look forward to many, many more years of grooming my little furry friends, both old and new; from the peaceful setting at my little country home Updates to come...

Barking Beauties Grooming Studio IS Barking Beauties Cat Rescue as well! I do love my four legged friends Barking Beauties Cat Rescue and Js Animal Rescue is teaming up for a nail trim/bake sale event March 17th in Orleans; we hope to see you there! More information to come

The shop will be closed on December 8th. As most of you know, my love is not just for dogs, but for all animals I'm proud to say that my cat rescue has been chosen as the recipient of this event; I will be attending to promote my grooming shop, and Christmas shopping I hope to see you there!

I realized that this page is starting to look more like a cat rescue, rather than a dog grooming page...but that has been corrected! My intention was to save a couple of cats, but it kinda snowballed! Barking Beauties Cat Rescue now has a page of it's own, and this page is back to 100%dogs!
