On Friday, April 24, the Barrie Community Crisis Fund, through the Barrie Community Foundation, launched "Gratitude Delivered" - 100 prepared meals delivered to the staff of Grove Park Home, a Barrie long-term care home. The project started with the idea of funding meals for one shift at the RVH, and quickly grew from there. We have now funded meals for every worker at the hospital 1300 in total - and are moving toward a meal for every long-term care worker in Barrie. We h...ope to be able to offer a meal to every front-line worker in Barrie from the hospital, to care facilities, to hopefully EMS personnel and grocery workers. All meals to date have been prepared by Cravings Fine Food, and we now have several other restaurants and food suppliers on board for future meals.
