So great to see our members supporting each other through this pandemic. #charitablegamingcommunitygood
Barrie Soccer Club's partnership at Delta Bingo and Gaming Barrie has been supporting young people in our community for many years. Funds raised help to purchase equipment, uniforms and subsidize rental costs which allow them to foster the love of soccer in our youth. Unfortunately with the current restrictions, the Club has had to pivot and provide services where they are able. We hope that they can soon resume their regular programs! #charitablegamingcommunitygood
The benefits of funds raised at Delta Bingo and Gaming Barrie often extend beyond our member groups. Thanks to our service club partners like the Royal Canadian Legion 147 donations are made throughout the year to worthy organizations. In December the club made donations of $1000 to the Salvation Army, the Barrie Food Bank and Christmas Cheer to help support their operations in our community. As with all charities, the Pandemic has hit hard and one of the areas hit the hardest is fundraising. Through their partnership with Delta Bingo and Gaming, the Barrie Literacy Council continues to receive much needed funding and they were able to offer adult programming. Pictured here is Instructor Paul and student Linda at the conclusion of their Digital Literacy program. Skills learned here will help their students navigate this new digital world we are finding ourselves i...n. #charitablegamingcommunitygood The City of Barrie Ontario Lottery
In partnership with Delta Bingo and Gaming, David Busby Centre participants and community members, who are in need of shelter and support, have been able to access their facility and outreach services. During this pandemic they were able to keep their doors open and, through the help of funds raised, in September were able to proudly serve over 1,600 meals from their hub facility and outreach services. Thanks to the generous funding they receive from Delta Bingo and Gaming Barrie , the Autism Ontario Simcoe Chapter was able to run a virtual Kids Club for children on the autism spectrum through spring and early summer. This program was a partnership with Wild Life Fitness and offered families in Simcoe County the opportunity to participate in some dancing, fitness, crafts & socialization. "Especially during these times of uncertainty, it’s been wonderful to be able to ...connect families in our community together through this program, and we are looking forward to continuing into the fall." Here are just some of the beautiful creations that were made by children in their Summer Kids Club! The City of Barrie Ontario Lottery #charitablegamingcommunitygood
We are proud supporters of the Barrie & District Girls Softball Association. Funds raised through their partnership at Delta Bingo and Gaming subsidize their operations and allows girls of all ages to grow their confidence and strength through Softball. Pictured here is their Gold Medal winning Under 12 Team last year at the Provincial Championships. Way to go girls! #charitablegamingcommunitygood The City of Barrie Ontario Lottery
An assistive device can mean the difference between living independently at home and needing long-term care. March Of Dimes Canada's Assistive Devices program provides funding to buy, maintain, or repair assistive devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, bath aids and more. Their partnership with Delta Bingo and Gaming has allowed them to raised funds that support this program. #charitablegamingcommunitygood The City of Barrie Ontario Lottery
Through the financial support they receive from Delta Bingo and Gaming, Camphill Communities Ontario was able to purchase a new stove at Novalis Hall. This stove has opened the door to many new and exciting projects for them. Several of their program participants have been getting very creative! They have been busy making natural fabric dyes using plants found in their garden and forests. These dyes are prepared on the new stove and then used to colour fabrics. People have also started creating body products, like a calendula body balm that Annette has developed. We can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
