We are so excited to see your faces again! It has been a very long 3 months.... Our Clinic looks a little different now and our procedures are as well..... To keep you safe, we have made some changes and implemented procedures that meet Ontario Ministry of Health directives, as well as our regulatory college’s guidelines. Quick Clinic Update: 1. Cookstown location is open for in person visits starting this Thursday. Thank you for your flexibility connecting online and at the Barr...ie office during the past few months. 2. The option of telemedicine appointments through our secure video conferencing software, Jane, will be available moving forward. Many have enjoyed reducing travel time, feeling more comfortable at home, and being able to manage an appointment with littles at home. 3. Appointments in the office are back. Hand sanitizer stations are set up at the clinic, face masks are worn, and additional cleaning measures are taken in both clinics. 4. Online booking is available through my website, or you may contact the Barrie and Cookstown offices to schedule an appointment. 5. I remain deeply grateful for this wonderful community committed to improving health, global pandemic or not. Dear Practice Members.... Late Tuesday evening on May 26 the Chiropractic licensing body, (College of Chiropractors Ontario), made a subtle and rather unclear announcement that referenced the Province of Ontario had announced further easing of restrictions, thus allowing us to return to our offices to see Patients (other than emergency), on a limited and gradual basis. The College has the final say on what we can and cannot do in any situation as Regulated Health Practitione...rs. As such we are accountable to their mandates. Though we had an idea of what would be required of us in order to open our doors publicly, we have been charged with some additional responsibilities. These procedures include formal staff training. We have been working quite diligently in preparation for this announcement. I am confident we will be prepared to receive folks in our clinic finally by the middle of next week, but we require a few days to organize ourselves so as to be compliant with the CCO. We are so excited to see you again and find out how you all have been during the past several weeks. We have further announcements to make regarding the preparations we have made to receive you in the most safe and efficient way possible that will come in the following days. Some of you may have heard we were allowed to open and may be reaching out to get appointments. We wanted to let you know that we are very close to being able to receive you and will announce our opening as soon as we are certain we have our "I"'s dotted and "T"'s crossed and trust you understand our vigilance. Dear Friends.... Our office is closed in order to be compliant with the Province of Ontario’s emergency response to the COVID-19 situation. But we are definitely available for anyone who requires our services. Our Profession's’ fall under the "essential services" category as defined by the Province, and so we are able to see folks who have distress in areas that fall under our scopes of practice. Dear Patients of Barrie Chiropractic I realize these are difficult, uncertain, and even scary times we are experiencing. The COVID-19 situation is very dynamic and everchanging as we are all trying to navigate through it, doing our best to do what is right, not knowing what the outcomes will be. I see myself as someone who is there to be helpful. Someone who Should be there to be helpful. I see my staff and Colleagues as people who feel the same. Though I desperately wish no...t to disappoint, our situation has evolved and I have been advised that due to liability issues, I must close the clinic to public access until further notice.
