Welcome to the team Blanche!!! I am so excited to announce that my little clinic is growing. Blanche is a gentle soul with a soft voice and powerful hands. Blanche is offering three incredibly relaxing and therapeutic services:... Restorative Complete Reflexology (1hr) Body work that involves feet, head, and hands. The complete circle of care modality uses reflexes in an orderly fashion in the shape of a human body, opening energy channels throughout. Balancing Foot Reflexology (30min, feet) A relaxing therapy using the application of pressure points in the feet that correspond to organs and areas of the body. This treatment is said to induce a healing response in the body, even alleviating some ailments. Restorative Reflexology/Acupressure Massage (1hr, full body) An ancient form of massage therapy that involves applying pressure to different parts of the body to address ailments. This Traditional Chinese Medicine Massage is believed to open Qi (chee) understood as a life sustaining energy force. Blanche is in the clinic every Wednesday! If you have reflexology coverage or a health spending account, you can use your benefits!! Book online (www.barriedigestiveclinic.com) or send me a DM! I will help set you up. Hope to see you soon. Big smiles, Carol

Did you know that it takes 12 honey bees to make 1 teaspoon of honey?! . Let’s slow down. .... We don’t always need to be getting stuff done. There’s a saying about stopping to smell the roses. What they don’t mention about hanging out in the flowers is all the bees!! You can’t see them in this photo but the lavender was actually buzzing with the song of all kinds of bees and other pollinators busy working hard. They were gentle and did not mind sharing the company of all the visitors who wanted to enjoy the blooms. . Today I’m opening up a jar of honey made from pollen collected on these beautiful lavender fields. I’m going to drink in every drop of sunshine on this sunny summer day (even if it’s just from the parking lot as I walk into the clinic.) I’m going to indulge in a spoonful of honey and give gratitude to those 12 bees whose life’s work made it possible for me to slow down and enjoy this moment. See more

I love nature but I’m not outdoorsy. I love the earth and the water but I am uncomfortable when I am dirty and I am scared of drowning. (I am not a strong swimmer.) Or even worse than dirt or drowning, touching something slimy in the dark water. Ew! I try to spend as much time in the sun as possible during our (too) short Ontario summers. One of my favourite activities has been to paddle board on the Nottawasaga River; it is a beautiful, calm, and quiet space.... Yesterday, a cormorant, the sea raven, swam together with us for almost the entire trip! It was pretty special. He even flew ahead at one point and greeted us around the river bend. Cormorant is asking you to dive deep to catch your desires.... Cormorants bravely choose to experience heavy challenges because they understand that doing uncomfortable things is necessary in order to achieve their goals. Cormorant is telling you that hard times are actually gifts that are leading you to your soul’s needs. {tanyacasteel.com} This is exactly the message I needed to receive. Some of us only experience our biggest growth spurts after it feels like our world has fallen apart. Some of us won’t make big moves until we realize we can absolutely no longer stay where we are. But once we are growing and moving, there is no stopping us until we are done 2020 has been a year to test our mettle. What are your priorities? What are you made of? What change do you want to live? I am going to dig deep and work hard, like the cormorant, and get everything that is for me! Thank you for sharing this adventure with me and taking this pic while we were both ravished by mosquitos. @ravensfeatherphotography (Additional thanks for rescuing my dog with your lightning fast mom reflexes when she decided to walk off the edge of the paddle board! You are her hero and bestie for life! and mine too.) See more

It’s been a Wild 2020 so far! I’ve learned and grown so much in the past few months I was forced (like many others) to spend time with myself and within myself. I closed my doors alongside most other businesses in March. I have been fortunate enough to be able to welcome clients (and friends) back into the therapy room for almost 8 weeks now. Thank You Everyone!! ... Thank you for your support and patience. I appreciate every message, referral, appointment, and review! You have made reopening joyful. I went in for a COVID-19 test last week. I did not have any symptoms. I did not travel. I did not knowingly come into contact with anyone who is ill. I have eaten on patios I have gone to hot yoga (@modoyogabarrie ) I even had my hair done! (@curlsbynadine ) I’ve participated in outdoor activities with close friends and a couple indoor ones too. I’ve felt very safe. I wash my hands and sneeze/cough into my elbows. I sanitize everything. . After a lot of deliberation, I decided to go in to get tested even though I am healthy and have been following protocols. . Not gonna lie, the swab was pretty awful. but I’ll do it again. Why? I come into contact with vulnerable people daily. I trust that each person I share a circle with and that each person who comes into my therapy room is honest and doing their best to care for themselves, and in turn, those around them. I trust you. Do you trust me? Big smiles, Carol #spreadlove (not cooties!) See more
