Reasons for Jaw and Facial Pain If you have ever felt facial, joint or jaw pain, you know it's overly unpleasant (to put it mildly) In many cases, this type of pain doesn't need immediate medical attention, but sometimes, it may indicate a more serious underlying condition that needs treatment... Most people experience it because of these reasons: Tooth grinding and clenching when sleeping or in moments of stress TMJ disorder - a cluster of conditions that affect the bones, joints, and muscles responsible for jaw movement Other dental conditions such as gum disease, cavities, tooth gaps, or abscesses So, if this concerns you, call your dentist or book a free virtual consultation on our website (Link in BIO) #mysmilecentre #webelieveinyoursmile #jawpain #virtualconsultation #virtualdentist #canadadentist #dentistryappointment See more

There's a story behind every smile And the smile of our patient Greg is no exception He found MySmile Centre on Google when wanted a quick fix for his teeth before going on a vacation. We provided him with a temporary fix and consulted on permanent solutions - implants and full upper arch replacement. When Greg returned from a vacation trip, he decided to make his smile permanent.... Having evaluated the available options, he realized that it's easier to do both arches at once. One surgery and you have a beautiful and healthy smile. Who wouldn't like that? So, Greg went for a double arch "All-in-4" procedure and is very satisfied with this decision. The surgery went extremely well and the recovery was super quick - only 3-4 days! Now Greg is one of our most active patients and a dear friend He is always ready to share his experience. He even spoke on one of our free dental implants seminars! We are so lucky to have patients like Greg! P.S. the video was filmed before the pandemic. Look for a full video in IGTV section The treatment was performed by Dr. Amir Guorgui Surgical and Sedation Dentistry and Dr. James Ko Cosmetic, Implant, and Family Dentistry Treatment coordinator - Jenny #mysmilecentre #dentistryappointment #webelieveinyoursmile #dentistreview #mysmile_review #mysmile_beforeafter #virtualdentist See more

Better safe than sorry It can be hard to take proper care of your teeth on a daily basis, but if you don't do it, you may find yourself forking over thousands of dollars in restorative dental care Preventive oral care strategies include several in-office and home care activities, including:... At-home oral hygiene Fluoride use Balanced diet Regular dental visits (preferably every 6 months) Dental cleanings and screenings (twice a year) Mouthguards (worn during sports activities to protect against broken teeth) Effective preventive dentistry can result in less costly treatment for any dental conditions that may develop, and help you keep your natural smile for a lifetime! #mysmilecentre #dentistryappointment #webelieveinyoursmile #virtualdentist #preventivedentistry #canadadentist #torontodentist

What a transformation! When Peter first came into our office just over a year ago, he wasn’t sure exactly what he was looking for - he was interested in dental implants, and even possibly replacing all of his teeth with a full implant solution. Peter had a free consultation at Barrie Smile Centre and we decided together that because he had very strong bone and good root structure, we could offer a full Smile Makeover without removing all of his teeth. Peter was pl...eased with this treatment plan and we started in September 2019. Two implants on the upper left Orthodontic appliance to move the lingually displaced upper right canine Full mouth crown and veneer treatment to open the bite and improve aesthetics Enjoy your new SMILE, Peter!

WOW! Amazing before and after results! Congratulations to this lovely young lady on her beautiful smile! This was a multi-step treatment to achieve the final results. She was congenitally missing her upper laterals and had one retained baby canine when she first came to see us in Mar 2017. We removed the baby tooth and used orthodontics (braces) to move the teeth into idea position before adding two dental implants to replace the missing laterals. We then used Zoom t...eeth whitening to brighten her smile. Final step was the insert of two beautifully custom stained implant crowns done by Sandra @ InHouse Dental Lab #smilemakeover #dentalimplants #webelieveinyoursmile #mysmilecentre

Proof, that no matter how old we are, or how many wrinkles we might have, we can still learn new skills; especially if doing so might save the lives of others.

WE ARE OPEN! Hello! We are so excited to announce that the Royal College of Dental Surgeons has just given us the green light to begin seeing all non-essential and deferred treatment! Under the guidance of the RCDSO, all dentists in Ontario will now be able to re-open their practices for routine care and treatment. Up until now, due to COVID19 pandemic restrictions, dentists have only been permitted to provide emergency dental treatment. This means that we have been unable...Continue reading

IMPORTANT UPDATE ON REOPENING Hello! As many of you may have seen or heard on the news yesterday, Ontario is allowing health-care providers including dentists to get back to work once health and safety guidelines are in place. There has been a lot of confusion surrounding what exactly this means for the dental field. ... Up until now, due to COVID19 pandemic restrictions, dentists have only been permitted to provide emergency dental treatment. Dental emergency treatment is restricted to basic procedures to relieve pain or infection. This means that we have been unable to provide any other type of dental procedures since mid-March. Now, we have been advised that we will be able to offer urgent & non- essential services, as well as emergency treatment. Dentists will be allowed to return to practice in stages, based on risks, and with the safety of our patients, our team members and our community as our number one priority. The next stage will involve more elective and preventive procedures. All our offices will be ready to provide the safest care possible. We are hoping to get the final go ahead by the end of the week and will let you know exactly when we can begin seeing you after that. Thank you for your patience and understanding. FAQ: What is the most likely timeline for reopening? We will be open for urgent & emergency care next week and starting June 8th for more non-essential services What procedures will we be able to do? Aside from treating dental emergencies we will be able to do: Extractions, fix broken fillings, root canal treatments, make night guards and anything else that is urgent. We are hoping to be able to do all procedures ASAP once we get guidance from the ministry of health and the RCDSO (Dental College) Will I be able to get my teeth cleaned and my regular recall exam (check up)? We are hoping to begin scheduling hygiene appointments by the middle of June As guidelines change this may be sooner or later How will you contact me for my next appointment? One of our team members will contact you to review your needs and schedule your appointment appropriately. We will be initially focussing on following up on emergency and urgent care. Please call, text or email us if you have a specific concern and we will respond ASAP. Do we have enough PPE? Absolutely! Our offices will be well equipped to keep you and our teams safe. We have been providing emergency care throughout the pandemic with appropriate PPE For anyone who may have missed our Patient Information Webinar last week, here is the link to the recording: https://youtu.be/OGniTtuw3n4 It is our goal to keep you updated and well informed.
