So the 2020 wedding season is looking like a total bust. I just received an e mail clarifying what can and cannot take place at wedding receptions. No open dance floors permitted. Dinner music and first dances are ok, however as long as those dancing are within their bubble. https://www.gov.nl.ca//information-/guidance-for-weddings/ In over 25 years of being a mobile DJ I have never gone more than 6 weeks without a gig, and while the time off has been nice, now I'm itching to get back at it.

Today I visited with Barry Strickland and Grand Time in the Murray Premises to have my watch batteries replaced and serviced. Anyone with access to Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube or various other apps pretty much have the same music library as I do on my hard drives. Knowing what songs work well next to each other, when to play them and keeping the audience engaged is what separates a DJ from someone who streams music. Dependable, commercial grade audio equipment, enhanced LED lighting and someone who takes their bookings seriously is what separates a Professional Music Disc Jockey from a DJ. I still have some prime Summer 2020 dates available, and am now taking bookings for 2021 :)

Holy smokes.... another year comes to a close, another decade on the books. Tonight I'm spending my NYE playing music at same place Nancy and I have been for the last 22 years, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Special thanks to the Knights of Columbus, Power's Court in Manuels for their continuous bookings year after year. In fact, I'm humbled and grateful for all my wedding, Christmas and birthday party bookings over the last 25+ years.
