BASE is proud to announce that our lab & lab technicians have recently earned their Canadian Council of Independent Laboratories (CCIL) official certification! We are ready to expand our Geotechnical offering to include concrete and aggregate material testing services just in time for spring. In addition to expanding our service offering, this lab will allow us to improve our field to finish processes. This important and essential service has not come without the dedication and hard work of many of our staff. BASE would like to take this opportunity to thank our material testing and geotechnical teams for their commitment to this process and the many hours of hard work and training they have undertaken in order to make this milestone happen.

As we reach the end of a very interesting and unpredictable year, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our valued clients. Meet the Team Monday Ryan Fitzsimmons, P.Eng. BASE is excited to spend the next few weeks introducing our highly experienced team in Calgary! Ryan Fitzsimmons is a municipal process engineer specializing in pump & lift station designs as well as liner municipal infrastructure. With 9 years of engineering industry experience, Ryan has spent time in a multitude of roles including project management, engineering design, construction supervision, contract management, and quality ...control/assurance. In his spare time Ryan enjoys staying active, whether it be playing a round of golf, softball, or some winter snowboarding. #MeetTheBASETeam

The BASE team would like to congratulate Izabela and officially welcome her as a professional member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta. Izabela has been a member of our BASE team since 2011 and recently has rounded out her professional training with additional expertise in Telus Alignment projects as well as traffic analysis and water modeling. Izabela brings a fun edge to our team and can be counted on to contribute thoughtful and detailed feedback to all of the projects she is part of. BASE would like to thank Dan Wong for working with our BASE team to collect food and monetary donations for the Salvation Army. We are proud of our team and their generosity, this Friday we were able to donate $500 and some food to help those in need during this difficult time!

BASE is proud to announce the addition of new offices in Edmonton and Calgary, and some new members to our team as part of this expansion. Mark Ruault P.Eng will oversee operations in our Calgary office and our team of professionals has expanded to include Ryan Fitzsimmons P.Eng. and Evans Runoh P.Eng. Chris Lahti, Sagar Lunawat P.Eng, and Peter Ho, P.Eng will continue to oversee and support our operations in Edmonton. These office expansions, and their dedicated professio...nals will be working closely with our Grande Prairie based teams to offer expanded services in our Edmonton, Calgary, and the surrounding areas. Our oil and gas services, continue to grow under the leadership of Bruce Tattrie, A.L.S. Both Chris Lahti and Sagar Lunawat have worked with our team to successfully expand facility and plant site professional support in both the Oil and Gas Facility & Plant Site Survey industry. With the support of some of our most valued clients we have expanded our project resumes to include large rail spur designs and plant sites in recent months. Our company has taken great pride in servicing the Peace Region and province for the last 56 years and we are thrilled to be able to offer some local offices to areas we have been supporting at a distance.

The 2020 GPRC Business Conference is overjoyed to have Dan Wong as one of our breakout speakers for the conference! Dan Wong is a community leader who has been... involved in a diverse number of organizations in Grande Prairie over the past 20 years. He is a professional engineer and partner with Beairsto & Associates Engineering & Survey - BASE. Throughout his career, he has operated a business, been elected to city council, been president of the Swan City Rotary Club, and currently the past Chair of the Board for the Grande Prairie and District Chamber of Commerce.
