Bash'n at The Beach 30.10.2021

My name is Ian Cameron long term Resident of Slave Lake for 17 years I’m currently running for council in Municipal election for the town of Slave Lake. I’ve be...en involved in this community the moment I arrived Creating some of the Biggest events in the region such as concerts and festivals (Sawfest, Slave Lake Music Festival, Bash’n @ the Beach) Sporting events such as pro beach volleyball tournaments and a triathlon. I am involved with tourism and marketing the town of Slave Lake partnering with travel Alberta and other associations. I have worked with all levels of government , in campaigns and event planning. Longtime volunteer for nonprofit groups, creating associations and have been appointed president and Vice President. I work at Eagle Well Servicing in Slave Lake and I own a company Cameron Concerts which supplements and directs tourism and economic growth in this region . I was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee award from the Governor General of Canada, in recognition from all the hard work creating the Concert of Hope After the Devastating wildfires of 2011. This concert gave all the residents of Slave Lake and surrounding communities affected by the wildfires a free 3 day concert It was a time to share our unity and mend the hardships that most of us went through during that difficult time through music and coming together. I’ve been helping people with this community and surrounding area for 17 years now and I will continue to help In anyway I can. I just love to help people. Goals I would like to crack down on crime, getting people back to work and seeing businesses prosper, and helping end homelessness. Self Reliance is one key to our homelessness and crime problems. I want to identify those who are looking to improve their life. We have the capacity to shelter, rehabilitate, educate and train those who choose to make a better life. We need to support these folks. We need to look at other municipalities and see what solutions have worked and look to see how they may work here. I also realize that these issues are extremely complex and we will need to work closely with multiple agencies and levels of government. The people of Slave Lake demand action and I will work to implement solutions instead of creating committees and holding meetings, I will work to make a change and break the circle of short term goals and create long-term goals to end homelessness. Recently I joined the homeless coalition To help with the issues at hand. I look forward to working with council and other resources to find affordable and attainable solutions. There will be ramifications for months and years. Businesses, people, and families will need time and support in order to recover from the Pandemic. Slave Lakes best days are ahead and I am excited to work with you to revitalize our local economy, attract investment and end homelessness. There are many other important issues that the newly elected Council will need to tackle. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me so that we can discuss your priorities. THE RESULTS OF THE LAST 2017 CITY OF CALGARY MUNICIPAL ELECTION SUDDENLY MAKE A LOT OF SENSE! I don't know about the rest of you, but I would be a hell of a lot... more comfortable if we ditch ALL of this SCYTL technology ahead of the 2021 municipal Elections next October! I was at the polls several times in 2017, the turnout & lineup buzz all day was ALL for Bill Smith and anti-NENSHI. Yet the poll results tabulated were exactly the opposite, overwhelmingly for Nenshi! And the results were VERY slow to report so whatever computerization they were using wasn't worth shit anyways. We should insist on paper hand counts, hand based reporting and old fashioned spreadsheet only tabulation. Take SCYTL out of the picture altogether! Not surprised to see the NDP or the City of Calgary on their customer list. Can't do anything about the NDP but we can demand full oversight of what the City uses. Especially since we will now also have Provincial REFERENDUMS running alongside the Municipal Elections next October. NOW is the time for US ALL to ask our MLA'S & PREMIER exactly WHO IS GOING TO BE DOING THE COUNTING and WHAT PUBLIC OBSERVATION OF THE COUNTING will be allowed???? Hopefully most Albertans are like myself, wanting 100% transparency with paper ballots that can be preserved and audited without machines from companies like SCYTL that have a history of being implicated in some of the biggest SOCIALIST ELECTION FRAUDS ever seen. And just for Nenshi, let's do the PURPLE FINGER DYE thing also. I know exactly which finger I'm willing to dip! George Clark
