If you've been to one of our live Why Not Wednesday events, then you know of The Capitol Music Club. They've been THE venue when it comes to quality events in the music scene, and not just our scene. They are also not just a place of business, but a family and people who have worked hard to help keep the memory of Lydias alive. The pandemic has affected us all, and we can't afford to lose our favourite venue after having to postpone our festival. Take a minute, spare a few bucks if you can, or at least share this fundraiser and help keep Saskatoons number one venue/club running. Much love everyone!

HUGE thank you to all the dj's who provided some musical therapy to all of us mourning this homebound long weekend. The biggest thing we've been missing through the pandemic hasn't necessarily been the heavy bass or bright lazers (though, we really miss those too), but rather the feeling of community, the sense of belonging, the true physical connections we feel when we meet a new friend on the dancefloor. We miss hugs, and, dare we say it, we even miss the smell of an overp...acked room with no working fans. Last night, through the power of technology and social media, we were able to feel that connection, that feeling of being home. We caught up with old friends via chatrooms while having our own private dance parties. Or we simply tuned in and just enjoyed a live set from a familiar name while we went on with our day. We hope we never have to miss a year at the Bush ever again, but we find comfort in knowing we can still connect with all of you one way or another, and get our booties shakin all around the globe if we need to. Smash Cox plays what she loves, Jungle and Drum & Bass remixes with lots of vocals and some Jump-Up thrown in there.... 15 years in the local party scene and Music Festivals, led her into the last 8 years of Djing where shes shared the stage with many of the best International artists including Stickybuds, Lady Wax, and DJ Deekline. She's also been rocking the Bass In The Bush Festival stage each year since its creation and has played with all the locals youve grown up listening to and love from Regina and Saskatoon over the last decade. You can expect lots of tasty Drum and Bass from this little powerhouse!!!~~ Funk Heavy G is exactly that, Fun Kevy G, residing in Regina, SK, Canada. Creating and listening to music has been a passion all his life. After playing the saxophone for 5 years the switch to turntables in the year of 2000 came quite naturally. One of the funkiest djs in the queen city, his sets include genres like break beats, house, glitch hop and DNB . Funk Heavy G has earned a great deal of respect locally and has opened for legends like the Stanton Warriors, Deekline, Nick Thayer, JFB, Propatingz, Stylust Beats, Stickybuds, Timothy Wisdom, Skii Tour, Bryx , The Gaff, Mr Fudge and Mat the Alien amongst many of the respected local talents. We've been going for 9 hours and not slowing down yet!! Up next for us is Mr Fudge, gracing all of us with the best of any genre he chooses, and a glimpse into the famous dojo. When his beats hit the floor, the flow is always funky and chunky beats - any tempo every style. MR FUDGE (aka Yusuf Akhtar) is a Canadian born breakbeat dj and producer who is intense, energetic, and versatile in each solid set that he delivers. Currently based in central Canada, MR FUDGE spins a wi...de range of electronic music (from hip-hop, trip-hop and mid tempo funk - to the sounds of funky disco house, bass heavy breaks and dnb). After playing numerous club nights and parties across Canada since 98, the time spent performing in South Korea from 2002-2010 was to challenge himself to gain international recognition, to push his production work and to develop a sound that best encompasses his energy and intensity behind the decks. The grounds are bare this year, but memories are vivid. The stage is empty, no lasers in sight, but the night sky still glows blue and green iridescence, waiting for our return. The festival is postponed, but the show will go on. We have been so fortunate to share the first festival of the year with all of you for almost 5 years, and we will never take that for granted. We will miss all of you this weekend, but remember that this is for the best, so we can come back bigger a...nd better next year, knowing that we did our part to help keep our loved ones safe. This decision did not come easily but the safety of our patrons is our number one concern.
