Got some dot markers? Here’s a simple underwater art idea you can make with them! I decided to make a simple underwater art since my little ones are obsessed ...with sea creatures at the moment. I showed them the arts that I made and invited them to create their own. I think this would be a great project for older children too! https://www.instagram.com/twotolove_bairantwins See more

#FeelGoodFriday We asked Ronald McDonald House Charities Saskatchewan families to write words of hope & encouragement on the chalkboards outside their rooms.... These are some of the highlights. It's inspiring to see that even during such a difficult time in their lives, our families find moments to spread love & kindness. #StayingConnected #HopeAndEncouragement #KeepingFamiliesClose

We strongly believe that the focus of early years should be emotional well-being and growth, relationships and play, rather than academic learning. We also beli...eve that this matters now more than ever, as children and families experience the challenges of this pandemic. Why are emotional well-being, relationships and play so important for young children? Here are just a few reasons we want to highlight (well share more throughout the week!): Research shows that children who are socially and emotionally healthy in the early years continue to develop behaviors and skills that help them thrive academically and lead fulfilling lives. When children have secure relationships, they feel SAFE and CONFIDENT. This has a direct positive impact on their brains and their ability to learn. The parts of the brain for reasoning and making decisions light up. Relationships where children feel SAFE and LOVED provide them with a secure base from which to explore, grow independent, play and engage with others. For young children, learning happens in the context of relationships. For example, strong relationships with grown-ups allow them to learn language, express themselves, ask questions and take risks. During this time of change and stress, young children need emotional support and understanding from their grown-ups. They also need grown-ups who allow them plenty of time for play. Play allows them to express their feelings, feel good, make sense of the world around them, and learn, engage, and discover in the best, most natural way possible. So for teachers, parents and caregivers of young children who are worried about worksheets or are feeling the pressure to do early academics, remember that at this time, relationships, emotional well-being and play are more important. #kindlittlehumansph #socialemotionallearning #play
Verbal Apraxia can be difficult to explain to those new to the diagnosis. Personally, I didnt understand nor had I ever heard of the terms motor processing o...r motor planning. Trying to wrap your mind around this terminology is a great way to start navigating through understanding this diagnosis as a whole. Here is another little challenge so that you can stretch your brain and try to relate to our Apraxic friends. See more

I see you taking your kid to therapy while your friends take their kids to football or ballet. I see you sneak out of the conversation when all your friends boa...st about achievements and exam notes. I see you juggle events and meetings. I see you sitting on the computer for hours investigating what your child needs. I see you make a bad face when people complain about what looks like nonsense. I see you disappear little by little but you keep going beyond for your family. I see you pull strength from weakness with a force you didn't even dream you had. I see you showing respect for teachers, therapists and medical professionals who help your child and help you. Watching you wake up early in the morning to do it all again after another chaotic night. I see you when you're on the edge of the precipice struggling to live. I know you feel invisible, like no one notices. But I want you to know that I see you. I see you push forward always. I see you choose to do everything you can to give your child the best care at home, school, therapy and the doctors. What you do matters. It's worth the struggle. On those days when you wonder if you can make it one more minute, I want you to know I see you. I want you to know that you are beautiful. I want you to know it's worth it. I want you to know that you are not alone. I want you to know that love is the most important thing, and that you are the best at it. And in those days when you see an improvement, those moments when hard work has its reward, and you can taste success, I'll see you then too. And I'm proud of you. Whatever day today... ...you're doing it right. And I see you. Alethea Mshar John Walker / Flickr

Kid places ...bucket at bottom, masked and gloved adult drops sealed and packaged candy down said tube, where it arrives in the waiting bucket.
