Keynote Speaker at Hants East Regional High for MHCC Headstrong Summit!

T.J. is the Keynote Speaker for the MHCC Headstrong Summit in Truro, Nova Scotia. It is another opportunity to share his experience with his mental health struggles to teenagers. But more importantly, he inspires with his story of hope, resilience, and recovery.

This image is the Mental Health Continuum Model. It is used to give a clearer picture on what Mental Health and Mental Illness is. For example, when I got first diagnosed, I was in the lower left quadrant, Poor Mental Health with Mental Illness. Since treatment and hard work, I am now in the Upper Left quadrant, Optimal Mental Health with Mental Illness. There is a difference. Educate yourself and others, and let my story show you that you can have Very Good Mental Health even though you may have a Mental Illness!!!

Today was another awesome and inspiring experience, sharing my story of hope and inspiration with 60-70 students in the Cumberland area of the province. It was great to share and meet new people. Speaking again next week in Truro, NS to the same age group. Looking forward to it!
