Under current restrictions and guidelines as well as being conscious of our economy, we are unable to host the event this year. An in-term board of directors was established at our Annual General Meeting. We are hoping to move forward with hosting this annual event in our community however we will need to rebuild our board, membership, committees and volunteer resources. A large number of members, who have been great assets and resources to RMCA, have stepped away from their direct involvement due to frustration and challenges with the governance of the North Saskatchewan River Park facilitates. The 2020 RMCA Board is optimistic that a positive go forward plan will be established with the best interests of the Town of Rocky Mountain House, County of Clearwater, Rocky Agriculture and Stampede Association (RASA), and all municipal community members to ensure another successful Battle of the Rockies in 2020.
Wishing you all a safe and happy holiday season from our family to yours! - Rocky Mountain Chuckwagon Association
