We are very pleased & excited to announce that will be reopening Monday May 11th!! We will be staggering our physiotherapy and massage therapy services to reduce client overlap. We will also continue offering virtual physiotherapy appointments. We will be calling our clients to schedule appointments and we look forward to seeing you all very soon :)

CLINIC CLOSURE NOTICE: Based on the recommendations of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and to do our part in protecting staff and patients against the spread of Covid - 19, we will be closing the clinic effective March 18th. We will assess for re-opening on April 1st based on the situation and recommendations at that time. To respect the need for necessary social distancing and to continue with care for those appropriate, we are looking into resources for tele-rehab ap...pointments. Please be patient as we do our best to reschedule appointments and set up tele- rehab services as we navigate this new process. In the meantime, stay safe and we look forward to continuing one on one physiotherapy care in the near future.

We would like to welcome our new physiotherapist, Eunchae Yu to the team! Here is a little about Eunchae: Eunchae is a Registered Physiotherapist with degrees from Korea University. She has dedicated experience in a variety of settings, encompassing neurological, musculoskeletal and cancer rehab. ... Eunchae is particularly interested in neurological rehab. She has completed the training for the International Standards for the Classification of Spinal Cord Injury by American Spinal Injury Association and also trained in the Bobath concept for the assessment and treatment of adults with neurological conditions. Since 2016, Eunchae has advanced her knowledge with ongoing coursework in Lymphedema bandaging and management. She is also certified in Neurac, short for Neuromuscular Activation, for restoring movement patterns and improving function. Outside of work, Eunchae is obsessed with Crossfit and weightlifting. She likes nothing better than to leave her energy out on the floor with her workout mates. See more

Hi Everyone! This week, we would like to highlight our Physio & Clinic Lead, Angela Nicholls! Heres a little about her: Angela Nicholls graduated with a MScPT in 2009 from Dalhousie University. She also has a BScKin from the University of New Brunswick. Angela is originally from Saint John, NB and has been with Bay City for 6 years. She enjoys working with sports teams with a keen interest in rugby and soccer. When not working, Angela spends her time travelling, backpacking and hiking with her Australian shepherd, Chili.

This morning I needed to be reminded that it was ProActives 15 year anniversary. My mind was already focused on my daily list and my 10am conference call. Whe...n I did lift my head to reflect, I thought about just how many lives ProActive has touched, since we opened our first clinic 15 years ago in Mount Pearl. We would not be here without the support of our inter-professional healthcare team. We would not be here without the support of our clients. This week we would like to highlight our awesome admin - Julie McDonough! Julie is the the first person you see when you come into the clinic. She has been a long term employee with Bay City Physio. In her 10 years with us, shes kept us organized, greeted clients and ran our front desk. When shes not working she enjoys walking, boating, and doing home renovations. Thanks, Julie for all you do!

This week we would like to highlight our Massage Therapist, Paige Lewis! Heres a little bit about her: Paige was born and raised just outside Saint John in a quaint little town called Rothesay, NB. Paige is very passionate about what she does. When not in the clinic, you can find Paige spending most of her time with her family or going to the gym to keeps her mind at ease. She graduated from Eastern Colleges Massage Therapy Program in 2014 and shes been with Bay City ever since! Paige loves what she does and is happy to continue this journey with ProActive. For the next few weeks, we will be highlighting our awesome staff here at Bay City Physiotherapy. This week, wed like to highlight our physiotherapist Achim Khitab: Achim graduated from UNB in 1989 with a degree in physical education and then went on to Dalhousie University to graduate from physiotherapy in 1993. He began his career at Extramural Hospital in Saint John and then went on to work at the Workers Rehab Centre in Grand Bay, NB for the next 10 years. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his current clinics in both Saint John and St. George. He currently resides in West Saint John with his wife Carolyn and their 3 children.
