Our daily wellness challenge continues! Today’s challenge was to do something outside. Happy Spring everyone!
Today’s challenge was to drink 2 litres of water. How did everyone do? The easiest way to ensure adequate water intake is to keep a water bottle beside you during the day. Once you feel thirsty, your body is already dehydrated. So make sure to take frequent sips throughout the day!
How is everyone doing with our March daily wellness challenge? Yesterday’s challenge was to eat 7 different fruits/vegetables. It’s easy when you make a delicious smoothie for breakfast (banana, blueberries, blackberries, cherries, and spinach) and a veggie fueled lunch - Avocado on toast with cucumber and red pepper. Try to eat a fruit or vegetable with every meal to ensure you are getting your daily dose of vitamins and minerals.
It’s Day 1 of our March wellness challenge! Today’s challenge is to meditate for 5 minutes. If it’s your first time meditating and you’re unsure where to start, download the free app insight timer to your phone. There are lots of great meditations on there on a variety of topics. What a great way to start the month!

Every year at this time of year, we like to give back to our local community. We are always thrilled by the number of practice members who also get involved. Thank-you! This year, we will be donating to the Super Sophia project. "Love boxes" are filled with items for children stuck in the hospital at Christmas time. You can fill the love boxes with crafts, books, small toys, toiletries, and stuffed animals. Each box is labeled with an age range and sex (e.g. girl aged ...5-7). The boxes are reasonably small in size, so it is easy to fill one up. If you would like to fill a love box, please come by the office this week to pick one up. The last day to return the filled love boxes is Friday November 13. Thank-you for your support for this awesome project! Its Supplement Sunday! What? Vitamin C also known as Ascorbic Acid Who? Everyone can benefit from an optimal amount of Vitamin C as it is responsible for many processes in our body... When? Vitamin C must be obtained regularly since our body does not manufacture or store it. Our immune system declines without an optimal level of vitamin C in our bloodstream, therefore it is especially important to obtain an adequate amount when you are fighting any illnesses such as a common cold. The bio availability of vitamin C declines above 500mg, so consuming large amounts of vitamin C at once will result in most being excreted. However for some individuals, 500mg of vitamin C might not be sufficient to achieve an optimal level in the body, so consuming sources of vitamin C more than once per day would be a healthy option. Where? Make sure you are getting your supplements from a reputable source, trusted brand and with high quality ingredients. How?
