Big Sister Katrina shares as part of our I am a Mentor feature for Big Brothers Big Sisters Month. I have been matched with Kolby over 1 year and a half, we ...really enjoy going swimming, eating DQ, and watching Harry Potter. This year we have also gone to Painted Earth, built a gingerbread house, baked cookies and cupcakes, went on walks, gone to the corn maze and of course a lot of ice cream. This year has had a lot of twists and turns because of the covid-19 regulations but Kolby and I have pushed through and became even closer as Little and Big. I find being a mentor to be very rewarding and everytime I see him smile when I pick him up makes everything worth it. I am so happy to have been able to get a amazingly special kid to have a match with, he always makes me smile and his goofy antics always make me laugh.
