BBD Prevention Tips for making your home less appealing to those problematic pest birds! - Keep trash cans covered and areas clean of garbage. - Never feed pest birds. If pest birds are feeding on the food in feeders set out for desirable birds, try changing the type of food used.... Fun fact: Bird feed is an attractant for rodents! - Eliminate standing water. Gutters should be cleaned regularly to prevent standing water. - Trim trees away from structures and prune those seen to attract pest bird roosting. A round of applause for our team member, Alex! You won't catch this guy on a ladder doing bird work but you will certainly find him on the ground rescuing birds. Today, Alex and a young boy witnessed a Starling in distress with a broken leg and a cat nearby planning it's breakfast. Alex and the little boy scooped up the Starling and the little boy took it home to his mom and they are now on their way to Hope for Wildlife. ... We couldn't be more proud. Atta boy Alex!
