What we as a country accomplished together on the battlefront and on the home front during World Wars One and Two, and in operations in defence ...of peace since, was a triumph of collective effort in the fight against tyranny and fascism - a collective effort that defined us as a nation and demonstrated that Canada's bravery, ingenuity, and hard work was unparalleled, and when aligned in a common cause, what we are capable of as a nation. At a time when we are being called on again for collective effort against a very different enemy, the effort of previous generations can be a powerful inspiration. We're not able to gather this year in the way we usually do, around this beautiful memorial to our fallen. So reach out if you can. Call those who served and tell them it matters. Thank those in uniform for their service today.
