We understand that not everyone will like this rule, but it is our job to make guidelines that are fair for the whole province and after much discussion we feel this is the right decision for the whole body. ... **WE HAVE ADJUSTED THE DEADLINE TO DECLARE TO NOVEMBER 30, 2020 DUE COVID19 AND THE LATER SEASON START.

After a productive AGM this past weekend, we are excited to say we are planning to go ahead with our 2020/21 events! The distant future for sport is uncertain, but as BC starts the transition stage of Phase 3 of Sport, we will take a leap of faith and deal with each event as it comes up and in accordance with the current Health BC and Sport BC guidelines.

The nomination period for President has passed and the following people have been nominated for BC 5 Pin Bowlers Association President Kelly Gorsek - Allowed name to stand for re-election Larry Johnson - Declined to let his name stand for election ... Barrie Wright - Accepted the nomination and will let his name stand for election. Election will take place by email between July 15 and July 30, 2020. The instructions to vote will be sent to all members via email shortly. If any members have recently changed their email or didn’t provide us one you can send your email address to us at [email protected] Note: Anybody that is a member of the Master Bowlers Association of BC is also eligible to vote.

Dear Bowlers/Coaches, As we make this announcement, we hope that you and your loved ones are well. The Canadian 5 Pin Bowlers’ Association has been meeting and ...discussing the impact of COVID 19 on our National and Provincial association events since early March. The Youth Challenge National Championship was the only event we did not cancel. It was rescheduled in the hope there would be changes in the COVID situation impacting our families across Canada. Unfortunately, most Provincial and Territorial Governments are not in the position to lift COVID restrictions. Of primary concern would be mass indoor gatherings, travel out of province, and social distancing policies. As a result, we will not be able to hold our Youth Challenge Nationals. Although it is not a replacement for the competition, experience, and fellowship of the event, we will be sending a memento out to all our youth participants. For our participants that are in their last year of eligibility we are happy to announce a small scholarship will be awarded to them. Wishing you all the best in these unusual times, See more
