Did you know that you can get pregnant after having a baby as soon as you start having sex, even if you have not had your period yet? This may be very joyous f...or some, but not for others. If you are wanting to avoid becoming pregnant then it is never to early to have a postpartum birth control plan in place. What you can do: -Talk to your healthcare provider -Find an Options for Sexual Health Clinic for more info: https://www.optionsforsexualhealth.org/care/clinic-finder/ -Check out page 61 in Baby's Best Chance (https://www.healthlinkbc.ca//bbc-7th-edition-final-nov2019) Source: https://www.healthlinkbc.ca//bbc-7th-edition-final-nov2019

The opioid crisis (now coupled with the COVID-19 pandemic) continues to shine a spotlight on the ways in which addiction treatment and service provision must evolve in order reduce fatal overdoses and reach people that have always typically fallen through the cracks. Dr. Nancy Mullin’s research focuses on one aspect of this: the therapeutic potential in even brief moments of contact between providers in harm reduction settings and those accessing services, and the power of therapeutic contact to contribute to positive outcomes.
