Fully-funded scholarships available at Coady International Institute The award-winning Indigenous Women in Community Leadership program is offered by Coady's International Centre for Women's Leadership. It supports First Nation, Métis and Inuit women in building their capacities to be empowered agents of change in their communities. This four-month certificate program includes two training sessions at Coady, a three-month community placement, and the mentorship of an accomplished Indigenous woman leader throughout your learning journey. Successful candidates receive a full scholarship that includes tuition, travel, accommodations, meals and a three-month community placement stipend. From our graduates: "The Indigenous Women in Community Leadership Program has provided me with practical skills that have enhanced my capacity as an upcoming leader. I believe that this program is applicable to all Indigenous women, regardless of the field they may be working in. When: May 2 - May 20, 2016: A three-week intensive course at Coady International Institute. May 21 - August 7, 2016: A three-month community placement which includes required course work and the development of a community-based project. This project helps you develop leadership skills while working with your community. You receive guidance and support from a mentor during the placement. August 8 - 19, 2016: A second residency at Coady Institute which includes additional skills building, as well as review and presentation of your community placement project and graduation from the program.
