Today’s #FridayECRLibraryFeature, in collaboration with Child Care Options, is the Child Care Options Parent Lending Library! The Parent Lending Library has a selection of children’s books, puzzles, ride on toys and puppets from ages 0-12. We also boast a large collection of unique play sets which include things such as a mini light table with embossing tools, a sensory table, infant discovery kits, literacy kits, a construction tool set, beading and crafting kits and loose... parts. Psychology and parenting self-help books, board games, DVD’s and other interesting items like a telephone activity centre are available to families to engage in creative play and learn together. Families are able to borrow five items for four weeks at a time with a free subscription. Ideas, information and the latest parent workshops are also shared within the parent lending library here at Child Care Options." Bursary Funds Available for GOOD BEGINNINGS Training Level One and Level Two! BC Family Child Care Association, in partnership with the Ministry of Children and Family Development, are pleased to offer funding to promote the training of child care providers in the province of British Columbia. Effective September 1st, 2020 until March 31st, 2021, participants will be eligible to apply for reimbursement of a portion of their training costs upon successful completion of the Good Beginnings course. The 20 Hour Good Beginnings: Professional Development for Child Care Providers Level 1 and the The 30 Hour Good Beginnings: Professional Development for Child Care Providers Levels 1 and 2 offer guidance and ideas for the delivery of training to those interested in entering the child care field as a ‘Responsible Adult’ and/or a family child care provider. Participants taking level 1 will get a certifica...te for 20 hours of professional development. and participants taking level 1 and level 2 will get a certificate for 30 hours of professional development. Level 1 - 20 hour Responsible Adult starts January 9th to February 27th and Level 1&2 - 30 hour Good Beginnings starts January 9th to March 27th. Registration opens on November 15th, 2020.
