5 star review from One Happy Student: Excellent course!!! Here I thought the instructors would have giant sticks up their ass... umptions, considering the extreme seriousness of the material. Fortunately I was very wrong! They made the classes a lot of fun, as well as had us laughing. With content relevant teaching jokes which was awesome. The best part though is that you really learn the material, both knowledge and practical. I have been in classes of various t...ypes before where the instructor only teaches so that you will pass the test, then promptly forget it a day later. Here you are taught all you need to know to ace the test, but also so that you actually know about firearms and how to use them, enough to get started with practice at a range etc. Also, the WHY things work a certain way and how is actually explained and questions were encouraged. Lastly, the extensive knowledge and experience of firearms by the instructors was awesome. They obviously are serious about what they do, and not just trying to make quotas or quick cash. Good news everyone, I figured I would post this as I think this is important information for all of our members. If you follow the link at the bottom it will ta...ke you to our Club information at the Abbotsford Fish and Game Club. We have been very lucky to have gathered support from UFV, the Student Union Society of UFV, the BC Firearms Academy the Chilliwack Fish and Game Protection Association, and now the Abbotsford Fish and Game Club Each one of these organizations and the incredible people who run them deserve our thanks. This club wouldn’t be here if not for them. We have been blessed with the opportunity to take PAL courses at a student rate and now have the opportunity to host range days at two ranges. This will make it significantly easier for those students who may live quite a distance away from one range to visit the other and vice versa. UFV also has two campuses, one in Abbotsford, and one in Chilliwack. Having the ability to go to a range near both campuses will without a doubt be a positive for this club.
