Join us, Tuesday, October 20th from 11am - 12pm (PST) for our first BCFSC webinar, The Importance of Reporting Significant Incident Failure Potential (SIFp) Events with host Troy Withey, West Fraser’s Corporate Safety Manager for Canada/ US. SIFp events are near-miss events with a high risk of Serious Injury or Failure. Many near-miss incidents associated with high-risk activity have the potential for serious injuries and failures including fatalities. Some near misses are n...ot reported because no one was injured. However, reporting all near misses allows the operation to fully investigate the causes and develop controls to avoid these incidents in the future. Troy will address the importance of reporting near-miss SIFp events and how this SIFp incident reporting system can be easily integrated into your safety processes.
