Jenelle Yonkman, a BC Girl Guides volunteer from Vancouver, participated in last year's World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts signature youth leadership event - the Juliette Low Seminar - in Oman. Since then, Jenelle has been working on the post-JLS initiative that asks each participant to connect with 100+ girls to share leadership learning! Check out this post from the WAGGGS page for more info about the #100Girls project and Jenelle's involvement.
Teamwork makes the dream work! Have you been sharing your Virtual Guiding experiences with other groups by planning joint activities? Tell us about it in the comments While BC Girl Guides activities are being delivered virtually, following the recent provincial public health directive, we encourage Unit Guiders to buddy up with other units for online fun. Find other groups from your same branch, and/or who meet on the same evenings/times, and take turns organizing virtual ...meetings for everyone to enjoy together! Your District Commissioner can help you find likeminded units to connect with. More sisterhood. More fun. More friends to connect with. More skill-building while adult volunteers gain confidence with virtual facilitation. Less activity planning. It's a win for everyone.

A Girl Guide membership is an all-access pass to adventure, providing life-long fun and memories. Many girls and adult volunteers choose to share the experience with their family! Do you explore Guiding with your mother, aunt, sister, daughter, niece, granddaughter, or your chosen family? Share your favourite Girl Guide family photos below Brownie Guider Meaghan recently enrolled her daughter - a fourth generation Brownie in their family - into the Brownie program (for girls ages 7-8).
