On March 14 th 2020, we held our last rehearsal of the season. We had started to learn ‘One Voice’ a beautiful piece sung by the Canadian folk group ‘The Wailin’ Jennys’. Here is our virtual version, with 51 singers from the BC Girls Choir, ages 6 to 18. Enjoy! This is the sound of all of us, singing with love and the will to trust. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-p-v53vJJI&feature=youtu.be
Have you watched our latest YouTube video yet? The BC Girls Choir has been unable to meet for rehearsals since March 2020, but that didn’t stop us from creating beautiful music! Here is our virtual version of ‘One Voice’ featuring 51 of our talented singers.

A Fond Goodbye to our two Grade 12 singers Holly & Mia. Some of the older singers of BC Girls Choir gathered to give Holly and Mia a warm (and tearful!) send-off last week. The physically distanced gathering included a vocal warm-up (of course!), the singing of two favourite pieces that we had not sung since March 14th, giving out our annual ‘Certificates of Commitment to BCGC’, a special scholarship to Holly, and finally the singing of ‘The Parting Glass’ now a tradition at the end of every season: "Since it falls unto my lot that I should rise and you should not, I'll gently rise and I'll softly call - Good night and joy be with you all."
WOW! British Columbia Girls Choir has won the 2020 Online Competition of the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod! We are excited and honoured to have been voted the ‘Favourite Performance between 1994 2019’ in the Children’s Competition. Our thanks go to every one of you who supported us with your vote. Here is the link to the announcement from Wales, and the video of our 2018 performance: https://llangollen.tv/
