BC Interior Cyclocross

Hi everyone, we just wanted to advise that Provincials will not be going ahead this year. We sincerely hope that everyone is keeping safe and getting some riding in! Hope to see you all in 2021!

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 BC Interior Cyclocross series. While that may not come as a surprise to many, we were incredibly hopeful that this current health crisis would let up enough to give us our favourite fall sport back. Provincial regulations and recommendations being what they are though makes cyclocross as we know it an impossibility, and we aren't prepared to put together some pale imitation of the racing scene you expect. ...Get out on your bikes, spend time with family, and be ready for next year when hopefully BCICX returns! Hey y'all, Apologies for the radio silence, but we didn't see any point in piling on with everyone else talking about how much we're here for you in these tough times. I mean, we are, but you already knew that right? We don't have anything to report as regards the series itself either, we're afraid. We will be following Cycling BC and Cycling Canada mandates on events and gatherings. We're optimistic that we can still put the series on but obviously have to make sure your ...health and safety are, as always, our number one priority. We hope you're getting out for some riding at least, and we'll keep you updated as we get new information. Stay safe and stay healthy out there!

Are you guys riding your bikes yet? Did you even stop? Maybe this will motivate you if you haven't turned the pedals over yet. We'd like to formally announce the 2020 BC Interior Cyclocross calendar! Sep 13 - Summerland... Sep 19 - Kamloops Sep 27 - Vernon Oct 4 - Salmon Arm Oct 18 - Nakusp Oct 25 - Revelstoke Oct 31 - West Kelowna Nov 8 - Penticton Keep your eyes peeled for further details on specific venues, etc. Only 200 days until cross!

Just a note that registration is open until Friday at 11:30PM. The date in the tech guide was wrong but has been amended. Get sum!

Cyclocross Returns to Penticton - Oct 29 Update! After a very successful 2018 edition of the race, Hammertime Superprestige Cyclocross is returning to Mariposa ...Park on the West Bench on November 3rd. This year, the race will be the season finale to the BC Interior Cyclocross Series, and will run one week before the Provincial Championships in Kelowna. There will be novice, intermediate, elite, masters and junior races, plus a free kids race! There will also be custom Jakroo jerseys for the winner in each category! Still need help this weekend: We are still looking for volunteers for setup on Saturday November 2nd and race day help Sunday November 3rd at Mariposa Park (Vedette Drive on the West Bench). The biggest need is help setting up the course on Saturday - hammering in hundreds of stakes and taping out the course. We are also looking for volunteers on Sunday to help with registration, timing, running the kids race, and tear-down. If you'd like to help out, please email Ben at [email protected].
