BCJJF UPDATE Ladies and gentlemen, we at the BCJJF are working hard to bring you the opportunity to compete. At this time we intend to go through with our tournament December 12 / 13*. We would like to remind you all that the format of the tournament has changed in order to provide competitors with a safe opportunity to compete. Divisions will be a maximum of 8 with maximum of 2 weight categories per belt/experience level. You will be placed the in division with competitors c...losest to your weight. We will also be running a tight and strict schedule to adhere to all COVID-19 procedures. We will update you guys on the scheduling after registration closes November 15th. *We are adjusting and adapting to all new information as it comes out from VHC. We are raising money to buy Gis for underprivileged kids practicing Ju-Jitsu in Brasil. We recently delivered a batch of 40 Gis with the help of the community, now we are aiming bigger! we want to be able to give 100 gis to the underprivileged kids by October 12th which is Children's Day in Brasil. These kids can not afford to pay for classes, so in most cases, the gym owners let them train for free, but they are unable to get the uniforms they need. White belt kids are highest priority and can make their way to the front of the line. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ Wednesday at 6pm is the deadline for all athlete corrections. Thursday we will post Brackets and estimated schedule. Please be sure to check both Facebook and Instagram to stay updated on all important info. In an effort to provide everyone with match ups we have done some moving around and made some more changes. Some of the notable changes are as follows:... 1. Masters divisions have been combined. 2. Some of the Female divisions have been combined. 3. Fighters in the upper weight classes and lower weight classes have been added to the division closest in weight. Please note that these are not the only changes that were made so please check and make sure you don't have any problems with your division as tomorrow at 6pm is the deadline for changes. If you are alone in a division, have a look and see if there is another division you feel is appropriate for you. Please note that you must move up in weight not down. ATHLETES AND PARENTS PLEASE READ With the BCJJF Pacific Northwest championship just around the corner we would like to inform you that we are moving divisions around to create bigger divisions and overall a better tournament experience for the athletes. The majority of the changes will take place amongst the kids divisions. Most notably boys and girls divisions are being combined and age groups have been made into 2 years instead of 1 in most cases. Don’t be alarmed if you have been moved. We are doing our best to provide you with the most suitable divisions possible.
