Log house detective work. Seeing the stacked line of drilled holes, visible in the corner of the window open, tells us that the log walls were first built with full length logs and the windows were cut out after. The holes were drilled to allow the cross cut saw to be inserted into the log to begin the vertical cut. Now we would simply plunge our chainsaw through to begin such a cut.
