Happy Thursday! Say hello to the final member for Saturday’s LIVE panel discussion: Dr. Kathy Robinson! Kathy M. Robinson is Associate Professor of Music Education at the University of Alberta. Dr. Robinson has studied Ghanaian drumming and dance in Legon, Ghana, children’s songs and choral music in South Africa, Balkan choral music in New York, Chinese traditional music at Liaocheng University in Shandong province, China and, holds Orff Schulwerk certification ...from the University of St. Thomas, MN. She has presented and published research focusing on world music pedagogy, Ghanaian and South African musics, culturally responsive pedagogy and urban music education. Dr. Robinson has also given more than 100 workshops and clinics on 5 continents focusing on teaching world musics for elementary classroom and general music teachers, and choral directors and on culturally-responsive pedagogy.
