Today, the annual Remembrance Day ceremony at the Juno Beach Centre took place with only a small number of people in attendance. After museum staff recited In... Flanders Fields and the Act of Remembrance, representatives from the Juno Beach Centre, the City of Courseulles-sur-Mer and Les Amis du Centre Juno Beach laid wreaths. To support Jim Parks, a Canadian veteran who walked 1.5km to remember his fallen comrades, six Juno Beach Centre staff members also walked 1.5km on Juno Beach, from the Juno Beach Center to the Croix of Lorraine between Courseulles and Graye-sur-Mer. Retracing Jim's footsteps of June 6, 1944 was a very symbolic moment this Remembrance Day.
