Every dog is different and has different needs. Some are motivated by yummy food, others by toys or play. Some enjoy playing with other dogs, while others enjoy long walks or playing fetch. With the help of a humane dog trainer, you learn how to identify and meet those needs and work together to create a fulfilling experience for you and your dog. Squirrels are common in urban environments, but they are not the type of housemates you want. If you suspect squirrels or other wildlife are nesting in your home, know that animal-friendly wildlife control is available! Choose wisely. Wildlife control doesn't have to harm animals to be effective. Learn more at https://animalkind.ca//how-to-choose-a-wildlife-rodent-co/ #AnimalKind Man-kay Koon

Have you met Ted?! Ted is a very special guy who is looking for his perfect match! We've had the absolute pleasure of working with Ted for the past few months and we're so excited to announce that Ted is officially ready for adoption. When Ted came into our care, he was very anxious, and quite unsure of himself. We have been diligently working with Ted to overcome his uncertainty in new situations, and manage his anxiety. Ted is very treat and toy/play motivated, a quick lear...ner, and very attentive. Being that Ted is just 11 months old he's an energetic guy who enjoys long walks/hikes where he can take in all the sights, sounds, and happenings around him at a slow, comfortable pace. Ted LOVES long, leisurely car rides! Ted will need an experienced, calm adopter who is willing to continue to socialize and gently introduce him to all the wonderful things in life. Ted is more comfortable with women, would do best in a home with no other animals, that is calm and quiet, with a steady routine, and of course persons that have lots of time to focus on continuing Ted's amazing progress. If you're interested in adopting Ted, please fill out an online adoption application found by following the link below: https://spca.bc.ca/s/dog-adoption-application-powell-river/ Animal ID 515581 *Please note that do to a high volume of requests we will respond to applicants in the order in which applications are received and only those who are the best possible match for Ted.
