Just finished a productive, but long board meeting. Our lovely Membership Director Barb Martens brought us a little treat. We only hesitated a moment before we ate through our logo. It looks good and tastes good - who knew? #ThatHitTheSpot

Great article in #IAWP’s Women Police magazine. We thrilled our partner association @vpdwpst is receiving International recognition for their empowering community initiative. #strongertogether #femaleleaders #empoweringwomen Posted @withregram @vpdwpst As a group of volunteer police women, working towards stopping gender based violence through education and training, we’re deeply honoured to have been included in the latest issue of WomenPolice. The artic...le, Warding Off Violence Against Women explores the WPST’s use of knowledge and awareness to help stop and prevent gender based violence. It provides a brief history on the formation of the WPST, concepts covered during workshops, positive impacts made on the community, and explores the future ambitions and direction the team is striving to pursue. The Women’s Personal Safety Team was created to inspire, empower and educate women in the community. It has also connected women in policing, creating a network of support, camaraderie and mentorship. This has been a unique and transformational experience. Inspector Colleen Yee (Co-founder) ******************************* The WomenPolice magazine is the official publication of the International Association of Women Police.

Congrats to Supt Michelle Davey of @VancouverPD, on being named Deputy of the @DeltaPolice. She is @BCWLECanada’s original champion; her support of our ideas inspired us to start this association. Delta police is fortunate to receive a leader and trailblazer of this caliber. #leadershipmatters @owlecanada @awlepresident @viawomenpolice @awip_ab @axon_canada @vpdsuperdavey
