**Serious post** about Skin cancer!!! Especially in the middle of summer!!! WEAR SUNSCREEN!! Don’t be a Dumbass like I was!!! I was diagnosed with Basal Cel skin cancer about 3 years ago...it was pretty scary at the time as I didn’t know what that meant... I have since learned that the basal cel kind is somewhat manageable but still I need to be very careful. Typically I go to the dermatologist every 6 months OR if I notice any little red spots (they are red on me...I know some people have more mole/brown spots). If the spots are on the surface, he burns them off and I apply a cream every day for about 6 weeks.... This started as 3 tiny red spots on my chest...had them checked and burned off. Currently applying a very harsh cream the doctor prescribed! Needless to say I’m a bit of a grumpy Gus right now as they hurt, they’re itching!! But when I scratch...they burn!...not fun! Especially in 30 degree temps!! I do know I’m very lucky to be able to manage this issue....but really want to scream out... ***WEAR YOUR SUNSCREEN! . All the time! And if you have any weird moles or spots, get them checked!!! If you have any questions on this please reach out....I’ve learned a few things from this experience and would love to share #skincancerawareness #basalcellcancer #wearsunscreeneveryday #skincancerprevention #skincancertreatment #sunscreenalways #stayhealthy
