2021 is moving along and if you haven't received your income tax documents yet, I am sure you will be receiving them in the next 3-4 weeks. Our office is gearing up for the busy season and will be changing our office hours effective March 8th to Monday to Friday 9-6pm and Saturdays 9-1. You will have an option of a contactless dropoff, or you can make an appointment in advance if there things you need to discuss with us. (Masks of course are mandatory) " Working together to create the easiest and safest tax season for everyone" is our new motto.

Important announcement regarding the Christmas Tree Lighting (Friday November 27) and Christmas Market (Saturday November 28). With the increasing number of cas...es of Covid-19 in North Wellington, we were informed by Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health late this afternoon that the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony has to be moved strictly to a virtual event. The tree lighting ceremony can be viewed on the Arthur Chamber of Commerce Facebook Page through Facebook Live starting at 6:45pm. This Christmas tree truly is a 'Community Labour of Love' given all of the people involved to make this project a reality. We can't wait to share it with all of you tomorrow evening! This decision made by Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health also means that the Christmas Market on Saturday November 28 is now cancelled. Thank you to all of the vendors who registered for the Christmas Market. Hopefully this pandemic will be over in 2021 and we can try to host an event such as this next Christmas to help support small business in Arthur. Thank you to everyone for your cooperation and understanding.

Still trying to get the whole picture on how this works. The starting date to apply for this is tomorrow. Easiest way is if you have signed up for CRA's My Account.

Hoping everyone is staying healthy and finding lots to keep them busy. This is the new announcement that came out this week affecting income taxes. The gov't has extended the deadline for personal income taxes to June 1st. We are working at the office Monday to Friday 9-5 and Saturdays 9-1 to complete your returns. The drop box is outside the door and will be emptied after you drop your papers and slips in. Working together is how we will get through these complicated times.
