Good afternoon! We wanted to give you the latest update on our BCBC. We reached out to Mr Dawe and Mrs Lethbridge to let them know we, the volunteers, could not run our BCBC effectively with the restrictions in place and fewer volunteers.... With this information, they reached out within the school and five teachers (one teacher for each grade) came forward to oversee the program this year. This is great news for our little kids. They will continue to be taken care of for the breakfast hour. They truly love, and look forward to, the healthy goodies, socialization, and school spirit that BCBC provides three mornings per week. My only role with the program will be picking up fruit as it becomes available at TRA. I know our teachers will do an amazing job with BCBC. This is a big responsibility to put on them and they deserve respect for stepping up. Thank you to the teachers... We applaud them for all they do. And to our BCBC CREW.... YOU deserve more applause...more pats on the back and "great job"s and..."well done"s than could ever ever ever ever ever be given. Thank you for being so giving of your time, money, love and, above all, YOUR SUPPORT!!! These past few years have been amazing!!! Thank you for creating something beautiful at BCE!!! FRIDAY'S MENU Goldfish Crackers Cheese Strings Grapes... We are happy to bring you a little variety in the menu with tomorrow's breakfast. In the past we always stayed away from prepackaged foods as much as possible. However, this year we can't seem to avoid it. A huge Thanks to TRA/Sobeys for the grapes for Friday and apples next week. They're always thinking of us when they have food to give and we appreciate that so much. We also want to thank Del Monte for providing us with bananas for next week.
