So many customers come into the store to get paint for their walls and spend a lot of time searching for the perfect colour. I am often approached in the paint department and asked "Which colour is best?" or "What colour would I chose?" The answer is whatever you like. Many people focus on the latest trend colours and overlook the obvious answer...what colour do you like? Theres no point in getting the latest trend colour if you are going to hate it on your walls. People are... afraid of colours that are not neutral. They are afraid that it is too light or too dark for the room. The answer is it doesnt matter, as long as you balance it with accessories. When I decided to painted my bedroom a dark chocolate brown, many of my fellow employees said I was crazy. "It will be too dark!" I didnt listen to anyone. I wanted this colour but I had to accessorize the room in order to tone it down. I complemented the dark brown with light cream colours to balance it. I painted it with the Designer Series Matte Finish. I am not a professional painter so I only put 2 coats on the walls. I think it turned out pretty good.
