Welcome to the second week of Black History Month, the second week of Kindness Month and the second week of Quarter 3. We have been very busy here already! There are a few dates to keep in mind this month: Monday, February 15th there is no school because it is Family Day; February 25 and February 26 are Teachers' Convention Days so there will be no school for students. The province has changed some of the COVID protocols that effect children. The Division will inform school...s about any changes that may happen. Until then the COVID protocols at the schools will remain the same. We know the temperature outside is extremely cold and some families may be choosing not to have their children walk to school. Please remember that teaching and learning is still happening and if your child is at home, they can access information on their SchoolZone account and their google classroom. This way they can keep up with what is happening in their classrooms. Stay warm! Stay safe! S

The answer machine was on at the school this morning. The message on the machine is an OLD message. I am sorry that I did not check it first. The school is open, the students are here in person and everything is fine. If you call the school and the phone is not answered right away please call back. Thank you for your understanding.

Good afternoon! This is just a quick reminder that there will be NO SCHOOL for students on Monday, February 1, 2021. The staff will be involved in professional development for the whole day. We are focusing on mathematics and numeracy. Tuesday, February 2, 2021 will be the start of Quarter 3 and the students will be back ready to learn. ... See everyone on Tuesday!

I am asking for help with something that I noticed over the last few days. I have noticed that there is clothing with what looks like built-in face masks. The fashion industry is always moving forward and at times hard to keep up with! These shirts are at first glance a great idea but unfortunately they do not work well as actual face masks. They do not stay over the children's noses. If your child was given this as new clothing over the winter break and really wants to wear it to school, the staff understand. I am asking that they also have another face mask on to make sure that their noses and mouths are covered. When they are sitting at their desks they can have just the clothing mask on.
