Update on Pedro - thank you so very much to those who have helped out - appreciated more than you will ever know! Video wouldn't post here for some reason - sorry! Debi Cowan We went to see Pedro today in Punta Gorda. It was good to see him. He is still pretty sore; especially his ribs and his tongue which he nearly bit in half. BUT he is healing and we are grateful for that!! I was able to tell him by name the number of you who have helped his family financially and prayerfully. He was touched. Here is a video of his sister Michele expressing her gratitude. Pedro was sleeping when we took the video. Thanks again for all your love and support. Lord bless you today!
PEDRO NEEDS OUR HELP In February 2012 Grant and I went to Roatan on a vacation and had the opportunity to teach some kids some beading skills. These kids are involved with a shop, Made In Roatan, where they are able to make jewellery to sell to tourists to support their families. One particular fellow that I was introduced to, Pedro, was a natural artist. I was able to teach him a new skill, chain maille, which he embraced and mastered quickly. The first bracelet he sold, f...or $30, I'm told fed his family for a month!! This occurred today - Pedro has been in serious motorcycle accident. Bob and Debi, missionaries from Ontario, run the store, Made in Roatan, as a non profit to help the less fortunate families survive, Pedro has just graduated high school and was moving forward with his life when this happened. Please take a moment to read the link http://bobanddebi.blogspot.com/2014/12/pedros-accident.html Any help, no matter how small would help Pedro and his family in this time of extreme need. Medical bills at this time look like it will probably be between $500 - $700 . Anything you can give would be a blessing. You can give through paypal [email protected] (designated as a gift) thanks again! https://www.facebook.com/MadeinRoatan http://www.made-in-roatan.com/meet-the-artists/pedro-victor

It is truly with great mixed feelings that Bead Girl Online is closing the doors today at 5pm. It has been an incredible year! I have met so many wonderful people! If I have to chose my most favorite experience of the year - it has to be teaching the young folks how to chainmaille!!! I believe if we can show kids their creative side that they shall go on to do great things! BEAD ON!!! I shall continue to bead - my name is Cindy and I AM a Beadaholic!!! Here's my new site - you may see me on many a dock sharing my addiction with fellow boaters! https://www.facebook.com/nautiline
