Taking the load off - literally. I figured the best solution to keep riding whilst recovering with a duff thumb would be to ease the pressure when shifting. Any one interested in my experience, read on;... I bought an Archer D1x as I already have all my drivetrains and the jump to Di2 or AXS certainly wouldn't pass budget approval! Shipping from Cali was quick but a bit of a false start as it turned out my shifter was unfortunately DOA. Devin @archercomponents was super helpful though and went out of his way to help me faultfind and as I was struggling for spare time, didn't manage to get to the bottom of it as quickly as we would had I made time to call Devin directly per his supportive emails. Anyway, second unit arrived and setup went without a hitch. First ride today and it does exactly what it says on the tin. Bummed to have missed a few ride opportunities but shit happens.and Archer stepped up to resolve. Any changes? Yep, I'm not super keen on the remotes ergonomics and would like to see something more vertically stacked rather than horizontally linear. Currently it doesn't follow the motion of the thumb but a bit of position tweaking and a few more rides and it'll be fine. Other than. That, an evidently solid product that helps keep me riding through my current physical circumstances. [I paid for it, these opinions are mine ;) ]
