Of those 2,977 lives, 343 were firefighters for the New York City Fire Department (FDNY). As of today, 254 FDNY firefighters have reportedly died from illnesses related to the 9/11 World Trade Center attack, and thousands of first responders currently face ongoing health effects. Please join us in honoring the courage of those who put themselves in harm’s way to save people they never knew. We shall remember them.

We were proud to participate in support of our dedicated hospital workers who are genuinely there to help all of us in these difficult times.

With fires, floods and extreme weather becoming more common, RDCK leaders and staff will be heading out to hard-to-access neighbourhoods and communities across the region over the fall and winter to talk about emergency planning.
