2020 has been a hard year on live music, both locally and nationwide. Nothing went the way we hoped, but we did our best to cope & support each other. We the members of the BBRF Organizing Committee are all volunteers, and we've been keeping in touch since putting on our BADAS BBRF "mini-Festival" back in September, which was such a wonderful success! We are all in agreement that with this coming year, we will again work together as a team to put on a live music festival o...f some sort. We don’t know what it will look like, and we don’t have any firm plans yet, but June 18-20 we are planning to host a live music event in Beaumont. We have not lost our hearts & our faith in live music happening this coming year <3 The BBRF Society wishes all the best for everyone for 2021! Enjoy a peaceful and safe New Year.

Our thoughts today are with the family, friends, and everyone in the music community who knew or worked with Rob Newhook. Such a sad loss for all.

With Alberta Health's announcment today, we are postponing our BBRF Live evening with Bill Bonnah at Sea Change Beaumont that we were going to have in a couple of weeks. We will announce a new date when restrictions are lifted.

It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the cancellation of our 13th annual Halloween fundraiser that was scheduled for Oct. 31. Our team has discussed this event at length, as it is a favourite of ours and an annual tradition for many. However with the rising Covid case numbers in the Edmonton area, and our ongoing commitment to the health and safety of our volunteers and guests, we felt that holding a public event at this time would not be the responsible thing to do. We look forward to the 2021 halloween event on Oct.30, 2021 and until then we encourage everyone to stay safe and keep doing your part to slow the spread this fall.
