Tip Tuesday is all about Sensory Bag Fun! Sensory bags are easy to create, portable and inexpensive. Sensory bags are also sometimes called squish bags.... Sensory bags allow children to explore, discover, imagine, create, and learn while engaging many of their senses. They are a great mess-free sensory play. Benefits of sensory play: Language Skills Children are able to expand their vocabulary and language skills as they describe their play experience and describe what textures they feel. Fine Motor Skills Children are manipulating small objects, dumping, scooping, and squishing. Social Skills Children are learning about sharing, playing and communicating with others while engaged in their sensory play. Science and Math Skills Children are also developing skills useful for science and math such as measuring, predicting, and learning about cause and effect while manipulating sensory materials.

Tip Tuesday! Do you know what Risky Play is? Risky play is when children challenge themselves and engage in risk without certainty. It is very exciting and thrilling for children! There are many benefits such as:... building childrens confidence awareness of their abilities and limits increased focus on their play to avoid harm and injuries enhanced problem-solving skills Below are types of risky play you may observe your children do. So, the next time you see them climbing trees or using real tools, just remember, they are taking a risk - experimenting and figuring out what will happen next.
