I have visited Europe on five different occasions and when going into a grocery store I have always wondered why the eggs are not refrigerated as they are here in Canada and the USA. I have also seen this same type of storage in the Caribbean. So I did some research and discovered that in many European countries it is illegal to wash the eggs which are a common practice in North America. When the egg is passing so to speak through the chicken's birth canal natural antibodi...es coat the eggs to protect it against bacteria outside of its mother. When humans wash off the eggs this coating is removed requiring the eggs to be refrigerated. Prior to a Cesarean birth, a knowledgeable doctor would place a swab into the human birth canal and once the baby has arrived would wipe the babies face especially around the nose, mouth, eyes and ears with the swab inoculating the baby with similar natural antibodies provided by the mother. Maybe this is the reason we do not put our babies into the refrigerator when they are born! See more

This post is by Paul Avis, Mgr. Beauty-Full Spa. On April 7, 2015, the American Television Series, Chicago Fire aired on NBC, the episode entitled, I Am the Apocalypse. Their story synopsis, Members of Firehouse 51 transport victims of a gas leak to nearby Chicago Med; an armed patient claiming to be carrying a deadly airborne disease forces Chicago Med into lockdown. Great entertainment until you start to think about what you just invested your time in watching and won...der if the show producers in fact have incited the fictional act to become reality. In the world society in which we all have to exist there are currently too many people under the negative influence of either mental illness or distorted religious beliefs. These individuals could be stimulated by the ideas presented in this episode and turn themselves into human dirty bomb. By televising such fiction as entertainment the argument could be made that these individuals could act out the actions of this actor. Could promoting this type of fictional tragedy is like adding gasoline to an already sick inflammable mind? If such an event had been reported in the 24-hour news cycle, everyone would be shocked and outraged. Are the show’s producers by creating this fictional event not at risk of stimulating those who are already unstable and looking to make a bigger splash by destroying themselves in an act of violence? In my opinion this was an idea that should have been dropped in the storyline theme meeting. Like this commentary?

Is it time for a Bank Fee Rebellion! The norm is that I go to a local TD Canada Trust every quarter to pay my H.S.T. For the last payment period due July 31, 2013, I had the amount figured out in advance so I decided to pay on line. Yesterday, I was reviewing my account when I discovered a $2 charge on my account. I thought this was a new low when in fact it has been TD's policy since May 2007. This is the way it is marketed, "You can enjoy the convenience of paying your... taxes online for only $2 per payment or filing and this fee will be charged to your selected TD Canada Trust account." Amazing if I go into the branch, use their tellers and indirectly their equipment there is no such fee as it is part of my monthly service fee. However, if I use my equipment, my time, my on line account they charge me $2. This is almost as stupid as Enbridge charging me $20 to be their customer. I think all their customers should send them a Supplier invoice for $25 (extra $5 to cover invoice generation and mailing costs). The biggest joke is the Canada Trust (before TD) was the test bank for Interact and ATM's. Then again in July 2013, TD Canada Trust started to charge $2 a month if you have a passbook or a bank statement generated by them. So they charge you to put money in, take money out and to tell you what money they have that belongs to you! If you request an online statement, there is currently no charge - but I am sure it is coming, as saving the environment is only so much BS. Do any of you deal with ING and do they have as many bottom feeding fees as the other four major Canadian Banks? I guess this is why the Canadian banking system is so healthy, at the expense of our financial health! How can we as one individual at a time start fighting back? Love to hear so ideas.
