As someone who was once in the medical field, I cant even imagine the stress and anxiety that they are going through. So Ive finally been able to make this happen. Ive been able to organize a bi-weekly support group in Burlington for Family and friends who have loved ones w...ho are facing challenges with addiction and/or other destructive behaviours. It is so hard to deal with all the heartache and pain of watching your child go through the addiction. I wish that there had of been an open group for parents and family to find and support each other when I was dealing with this. This group is open to all forms of addiction and self-destructive behaviours (food, shopping, sex, social media, etc.) and not just drugs and alcohol. There really is hope even when it is the darkest of times and you feel lost and overwhelmed by circumstances to which you have no control. See more
