I told you I'd be back! This is a local list of Black, Indigenous, and women-led beauty brands for those of us in Canada that I'm highlighting for gift-giving this year. I went for a walk earlier today and saw a few storefronts that had "FOR LEASE" signs up in the window, when, not that long ago, these businesses were functioning; stores that I've seen in this particular area for years are now gone. Friends: I'm not really into the holidays, but I thought it might be nice to highlight some Black and Indigenous-owned beauty brands out there that we can support since we will be doing more gift-giving for the next little bit. These brands are either based in Canada or ship to Canada, PRAISE GOD. I've been so hype to purchase products from certain Indigenous and Black-owned brands, then I go to check out, and they don't ship to Canada yet. This is what you call a GREAT hair day @melaninhaircare is everything! I used the leave-in conditioner, multi-use oil, and styling cream to get this twist-out. I'm not the best with styling my hair myself -- I'm pretty amateur with twists and braids -- and these products make my hair look and feel amazing. If you haven't tried @melaninhaircare, you should; these products are the truth! My hair has *literally* never been this moisturized, defined, and ligh...tweight.
