The Bruce Trail magazine is in the mail. A really interesting article about mapping the Bruce Trail!
A recent update shows the Trail now traversing through Bruce Trail Conservancy-managed property. On a quiet day, it might work out well to walk this area as a loop, parking on the Artemesia-Euphrasia Townline. Please be respectful of the neighbours of the Trail.
Cold days are good days to look through The Bruce Trail Reference and make plans! Jessica's Book Nook, in Thornbury, has the Guide available on their shelves. On line ordering is always available at https://brucetrail.org/pages/store
Do you have a favourite place to sit along the Bruce Trail?
A great place to socialize and be safe at the same time is Outside! The Bruce Trail offers great locations to try snowshoeing or winter hiking with crampons. Please plan your access point with regards to parking, respecting our neighbours of the Trail. Some parking lots have limited capacity and road parking shouldn't limit road access for others. Come and explore!
Thank you to donors who have helped to presevere "a ribbon of wilderness" along the Escarpment. We are almost 70% "secured"! https://www.youtube.com/watch
There are still a couple spots open for the November 11th Club hike "Cross The Valley Twice". Register on the BTC website. https://hikes.brucetrail.org

Outside of general caution regarding hunting season, it's important to respect the wishes of landowners. A section of the "Chuck Grant Loop" is currently closed.
Buckthorn is an invasive species that our Club is working to suppress along the Trail on BTC managed property.
