First off, let me get one thing clear here - I’m not good at yoga at all but I don’t care. I’m actually proud that I can sit beside someone in a class who I think is amazing at yoga, like my sister, Katie or my good friends Cindy and Allison. Not only do I love seeing my family or friends in my class but the 2 big reasons I do it is; 1 for my brain as it never shuts off and I want to learn how to do that. 2 because of my drop foot and bad knee I have no muscle or balance... on my left side. Yoga has helped me so much with this. When you see me do a tree pose or any pose on this side, I can’t help to laugh sometimes in the class at how awful I am but that’s ok it doesn’t bother me one bit. I have added yoga into my workout routine for over 2 yrs and today I made my own little hot yoga room at home and it was the first time I realized how far I have come. With my bad leg, the balance is incredible. If you haven’t tried it or scared to DON’T. If I’m in the class or my brother Jason you will feel like a rockstar. I can’t wait to get back to the hot room after the lockdown is over. I really miss it.
