I spoke about this article in our meditation session this morning because it contributes to the understanding of the impact of our practice. Weekday mornings, since March 30th we have been coming together as a community to connect with and nurture our inner eco-systems and to really feel our connection to the web of life. It is my belief that restoring our connection to our inner and outer eco-systems is essential to humanity moving forward in a just and good way. ... When the problems of the world are overwhelming and I feel like I have little to no power or control to do anything on a large scale, I remember that I am PART of the Universe. I am PART of the Earth. Just like my leg is part of me. When my leg is in pain it affects the rest of me so tending and caring for my leg benefits the whole of me. Just as tending to our inner selves and restoring our individual connections to the web of life will have a positive impact on our greater whole.
